Little Shop of Horrors

Seymour Krelborn, one of Skid Row’s many misfits, stumbles across a new breed of plant and names it after his love and coworker, Audrey. An abusive sociopathic boyfriend (who happens to be a dentist), a domineering boss and Audrey II, the plant with an insatiable appetite for blood and world domination, provide seemingly insurmountable odds for Audrey and Seymour. Another revival for our 100th Anniversary, Little Shop of Horrors is from the creative genius of the team that brought you Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. It’s an out-of-this-world musical not to be missed. Just don’t feed the plant!

Nunsense! the musical

The Little Sisters of Hoboken nunnery have had a run of bad luck. After being pushed out of their missionary work assisting lepers in France, 52 sisters succumbed to botulism after eating vichyssoise soup prepared by Sister Julia, Child of God. A greeting card fundraiser ended just short of the finish line and now the sisters must raise the money that is required to bury the remaining four sisters who are currently on ice.  In one of the most beloved and hysterical off-Broadway smash hits of all time, Nunsense! the musical is our final revival of the 2016 Season.  Make sure to get your tickets early to witness what can only be described as divine comedy at its best!

Dead Man's Cell Phone

Sarah Ruhl’s quirky dark comedy about love, death and everything in between puts the icing on our 100th Anniversary Season. Minding her own business at a non-descript café, our heroine, Jean, approaches Gordon who is sitting at a nearby table when he ignores her pleas to answer his incessantly ringing cell phone. Upon discovering that Gordon has departed this world for the next, Jean answers his phone, an action which sets into motion an unbelievable but truly touching journey which explores modern technology’s ability to both unite and isolate people in the digital age.

Doubt, A Parable

Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play, Doubt, A Parable is John Patrick Shanley’s gripping drama about accusations against a well-loved, dedicated catholic priest Father Brendan Flynn. Sister Aloysius Beauvier, principal of St. Nicholas’ Catholic School in Bronx, New York, suspects Father Flynn of inappropriate relations with an African American boy who is an outcast at the school. This play is a testament to the fight for the truth and the causalities along the way.

The Savannah Disputation

The Savannah Disputation recounts the story of two sisters, Mary and Margaret, whose devout Catholicism is challenged by the visit of a fundamentalist missionary, Melissa. Engaged in a dialogue against their will, the sisters soon find themselves plunged into a full-fledged theological disputation, which prompts them to call for reinforcement from their parish priest. The ensuing heated and hilarious conversation tests the tenacity of each of the character’s beliefs.

The Fox on the Fairway

The game’s afoot at the Quail Valley Country Club! It’s the annual golf tournament between rivals Crouching Squirrel and Quail Valley. And, in accordance with country club tradition, the owners place their bets, each bringing in their heavy hitters to win the day. Only this time, a lot more is at stake than a large quantity of money. In a play modeled after the great theatrical tradition of farce, hijinks, love and champagne fly as freely as a golf ball from the tee. Even perfectly connected high society will be left guessing to the last stroke. Fore!
