CALLBACKS & EXTENDED AUDITIONS
Auditions for Stage 9’s production of Quilters will be extended because some people could not make either audition time. Consequently, we
will hold further auditions Tuesday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Stage 9 at 9 S. Main, Hutchinson. If you are one of those people who couldn’t
attend the auditions, you can find the audition material on stage9hutch.com.
We would like to hear the following people again at 7:15:
Paula Rothe, Abbie Lemonds, Sarah Winkler, Diana Kiuttu, Elaine Lowder, and Caroline Miller.
Quilters is an all-woman ensemble show which tells of the great perils and joys experienced by pioneer women and girls telling their stories through quilts. The cast consists of women varying in ages from late 20s to 60s playing a variety of roles, both female and male.
Auditions are March 23 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and March 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone will audition on the song, "Green, Green." For those who would like the practice, music director Bill Anshutz, will rehearse the audition song at the beginning of each audition period. Various recordings and performances of Quilters can be found on YouTube and the "allmusicals" app. Printed music and acting sides are available on the Stage 9 website. Note that sides include three ages. as each actress will be playing many parts.
Callbacks are scheduled for March 28 at 6:30 p.m. at which time we can see those who can’t make the original auditions. Rehearsals will begin March 30 with a read through.
We hope you will be inspired to audition!
